That's it ! Genetic engineering has GONE TOO FAR. First it was the arboreal octopus, now it's rattlesnails.... 🐍🐌🐍

this made me smile immediately, B~

the sound work is doing all the heavy lifting and then...boom..! rattle snail. perfect reveal.

I love how unbothered and slow this little guy is, like the poem itself refused to rush. tiny creature, big personality. super fun, super gentle~

B Philippe's avatar

I’m happy my pace has slowed down to snail speed, to let your lovely words soak in 🐌

Thanks AsukaHotaru ❤️

Wahey! Thank you Joe. Glad you came to take a peek 😄

Why did I read this and think about the sound a train makes as it moves on its tracks.

B Philippe's avatar

Aah you see, a train on its tracks is a very similar sound to the legendary Gargantuan Rattlesnail, which is as big as a train carriage. They reach speeds of up to 3 miles per hour and live primarily feasting on topiary trees and bushes 🤭

Oh I liked this so much! It made me feel calm, and joyful. 😁✨

Where's this rattle snail? I'd like to meet this interesting fellow.

B Philippe's avatar

He hasn’t made it into one of my stories yet but I’ll write him in one day.

He was thought up on a trip to Wupatki National Monument in Arizona - I have no idea what was making a slow clicking noise there but it definitely sowed a seed of inspiration 😄

Love this! The rhythm and imagery make the Rattle Snail feel delightfully alive—slow, curious, and perfectly whimsical.

Yay! Thanks Saksham ✨🐌
